The reason God gave prophecy was to prove He is God by telling us the future before it happens, like in Genesis 3:15 NIV where it says, "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; HE (Jesus) will crush your head, and you (Satan) will strike his heel.” The fulfillment of that prophecy was the birth of Christ Jesus, some four thousand years after the fall in the garden. We see in Genesis that Jesus was with God at the beginning of creation and Jesus was God. Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. John speaks of Jesus being God in this way. John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. And John 17:24 says, Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me:
- for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
The Book of Seven Seals (Revelation 5:1) is God's warning to the world of judgements to come in the future. We are in the future now, the events unfolding today in the news are the fulfillment of prophecy foretold. The other reason God tells the future is because of his love for us, giving warning and signs to the believer and those that will heed the warnings and repent of their ways. In Lamentations 3:22-23; it says, It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. God is not an old man waiting for us to sin so that He can punish the sinner, but a Father with compassion and love toward us all. I will be posting news and events that have an impact on these end times. Always remember Psalm 118:29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 86:15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. As the seals are broken and do not fear.
